• Treasury Group
  The Treasury team on the other hand, handles the origination, dealership, trading and distribution of fixed income securities of ACIC and the Abacus Group.

     The Company's fixed income securities capability was enhanced recently with the addition of a Treasury Group. This department seeks to source and place out fixed income securities, such as government securities and corporate commercial paper to clients of the Abacus Group. The addition of this group has resulted in a more complete offering of financial products and services to clients of Abacus.

     Another product handled by Treasury is the operation of the Group's Share Margin Financing business as a way of bolstering trading volume and in support of the trading activities of Abacus' clients.

ACIC is a wholly owned subsidiary of First Abacus Financial Holdings Corporation.

Details of Last Major Deal
     Offering of Convertible Preferred Shares of the Export and Industry Bank amounting to P367.50 million.

     Transaction involved the structuring of a quasi-equity instrument to enable Export and Industry Bank to meet the required minimum capitalization imposed by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas. The transaction structure sought to reduce the Bank's current cost of funding with a lower cost instrument, and at the same time provide investors with a meaningful upside when the Bank eventually undertakes its public share offering and listing of common shares.
